Assigning Users to Groups

Organizing users by groups allows you to configure security on groups instead of users. In turn, this makes it easier to keep track of the rights granted to each user.

Tip: You can also add Windows Accounts or LDAP Accounts groups directly to Laserfiche and configure security on them. This will automatically grant the specified access to the members of that group, without needing to create and add the members manually.

You can assign users to groups in two ways:

Tip:  Unless your security policy dictates that a specific user should have a set of rights that is different from other group members, limit yourself to only modifying the security settings on groups.
