Calculating the Available Named User Licenses in Laserfiche Avante
Your Laserfiche Avante Server is licensed for a particular number of Named Users. You can view the number of Named Users and Devices currently allocated, as well as the total number of Named User licenses available to you. You can then calculate the Named User licenses available to be allocated by subtracting the number of licenses allocated to the total number available on your Laserfiche Server.
Note: If you allocate all of your Named User licenses and still need to add additional Named Users or Devices, you can do so by either removing some Named Users (thus freeing their licenses for re-allocation), or by licensing additional Named Users from Laserfiche. (If you choose the latter, see Updating the Laserfiche Server License for more information.)
To calculate the available Named User licenses
- Start the Laserfiche Administration Console.
- In the console tree, click the desired Laserfiche Server.
- Note the number of named user and device licenses currently in use next to the label: Named User and Device Licenses Assigned.
- Note the number of named user and device licenses licensed to the Laserfiche Server, next to the label: Total Named User Licenses.
- Subtract line 3 from line 4. The result is the number of licenses available for allocation.
To calculate the available Named User licenses
- Start the Laserfiche Web Administration Console.
- Select the desired Laserfiche Server.
