Change Database Connection

You can change your repository's database engine's host computer, authentication method, and/or database from within the Administration Console.  This allows you to quickly switch your repository's database to a new computer, or to update your authentication information for the database. You do not need to unregister or re-register your repository to move your database in this fashion.

To change your DBMS connection 

  1. Start the Laserfiche Administration Console.
  2. Expand the desired Laserfiche Server item and select your repository.
  3. Open the Actions menu, or right-click, and point to All Tasks. Select Change DBMS Connection. The Change DBMS Connection dialog will open.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

To configure Laserfiche Named Accounts 

  1. Start the Laserfiche Web Administration Console.
  2. Select the desired Laserfiche Server item.
  3. Log in as a system manager. See System Manager Login for more information.
  4. Select your repository. Click the dropdown button and select Change DBMS Connection. The Change DBMS Connection dialog will open.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.
