Configuring Audit Trail Reporting

Before you can begin running audit reports, you will need to configure Audit Trail Reporting. This entails adding the repositories and forms to run reports on. For repositories, you will need to provide authentication information, specify the data that should be loaded and made available for audit reporting, and specify which Windows users should be permitted to run reports. For Forms, users will specify the folder where the audit logs will be stored, then configure the connection with the Audit Trail Server on the Laserfiche Forms Configuration page.

Once you have installed Audit Trail Reporting, you can access the configuration page at the following Web address: http://ServerName/AuditTrailConfig/, where ServerName is the name of the computer on which you installed Audit Trail Reporting. If you are running IIS on a nonstandard port, you will need to insert:PortNumber after the server name. A link is provided in the Audit Trail folder of the Start menu of the computer on which you installed Audit Trail Reporting.

You can configure each step manually or you can use the Repository Setup Wizard to guide you through the process of configuring a repository.

A user must be a local administrator on the computer hosting Laserfiche Audit Trail Reporting to perform the configuration.

Note: The Laserfiche Full Text Search (LFFTS) catalog is roughly 15 times the size of the original uncompressed Audit Trail log files, requiring more disk space.
