Creating or Modifying a Security Tag
Create security tags to add an additional security layer beyond the access rights mechanism. When creating security tags, consider that:
- A tag name can have a maximum length of 30 characters.
- A tag description can have a maximum length of 100 characters.
- Security tag creation and modification requires the Manage Tags privilege.
The name and description assigned to a security tag can be modified at any time. In addition, an informational tag can be turned into a security tag at any time, though a security tag can never be changed into an informational tag.
Note: An informational tag can be permanently converted to a security tag by viewing its properties and selecting the Security tag check box.
