Deleting a Security Tag

Changing security needs can eliminate the need for a particular security tag. When this occurs, you will need to disassociate that security tag from all documents and folders. After doing this, you should delete the undesired security tag.

Note: Tags that are still assigned to documents or folders cannot be deleted. A document or folder can be disassociated from a security tag by clearing the appropriate security tag check boxes in the View Tags dialog box. Keep in mind that removing a tag from an entry requires the Write Metadata entry access right.

Tip: A search can be performed in the Laserfiche Windows client for all documents and folders that have been associated with a particular security tag. You can then remove the security tag by selecting all search results and clearing the undesired security tag from the View Tags dialog box.
