Disconnecting a User
Note: All unsaved changes performed by a user disconnected from a repository will be lost. The user will not be informed that he or she has been disconnected, but will simply be unable to interact with the repository.
To disconnect a user
- Start the Laserfiche Administration Console and log in as a System Manager.
- In the console tree, expand the desired Laserfiche Server item.
- Select the Connectionsnode.
- From the right pane, select the user you want to disconnect from the repository.
- From the Action menu, select Disconnect User.
Note: It is possible to disconnect the special users FTSUSER$ and WFUSER$. However, doing so may disrupt searching or Workflow, respectively. These users do not take up any licenses and should generally be allowed to remain connected.
Note: If you do not want to use the system manager account, you can disconnect users from the Sessions node under the desired repository. However, instead of viewing all of the users connected to the Laserfiche Server, you will only see those that are currently accessing the selected repository. Keep in mind that the capability to view a list of users connected to a repository requires that you log in as a user with the Manage Connection privilege.
To disconnect a user
- Open the web client management page.
- Navigate to the Activity page.
- Select the user(s) you want to disconnect from the repository.
