The Laserfiche Windows client requires neither a license file nor an activation key to be installed. You will not be prompted to provide a license or to activate when you install the Windows client. When the Windows client displays the company the product is registered to and its LSAP information, that information will be taken from the Laserfiche Server license.
Laserfiche Snapshot does not require a license to be installed. However, Snapshot will not be able to save printed documents to a Laserfiche repository unless the Laserfiche Server that hosts the repository is licensed for Snapshot.
