Logging Laserfiche Server Activity

The Performance console provides the option to either view data in real-time or to log the information for future viewing. Logging Laserfiche Server activity allows you to view trends over a specified time period. For example, if you decide to log licensing usage, you will be able to view licensing usage statistics (e.g., average, minimum, and maximum license usage) over a given period of time. In turn, this will help you when planning your organization's licensing needs.

Note: Previously logged information can be viewed at any time from the Performance console by changing the data source to log files and adding the desired log files. This can be done from the Source tab of the System Monitor Properties dialog box.

There are a variety of formats in which logged information can be stored. The following steps allow you to log Laserfiche Server activity using the default log format (i.e., binary log files). See the documentation provided with the Performance console to find out the available alternatives.
