Adding a Repository to the Laserfiche Web or Windows Client
Typically, the Laserfiche Server broadcasts a repository to all Laserfiche clients on a network. However, your network or Laserfiche configuration may prevent a Laserfiche client from being aware of a particular repository. When this occurs, you can manually force the Laserfiche client to look for a repository on a particular Laserfiche Server. Once a repository has been manually attached to a Laserfiche client, it will be included in the list of available repositories whenever the Laserfiche client is started. This form of attaching a repository only affects the workstation from which the task was performed.
Note: To remove a repository that was manually attached to a Laserfiche client, open the Laserfiche Windows client. From the Start Page, right-click the desired repository. From the shortcut menu, select the Remove Selected Repository option.
To make a network repository visible to a Laserfiche client
- Start the Laserfiche Windows client.
- Open the Attach Repository dialog box by clicking Attach.
- In the Name option, type the name of the Laserfiche repository to be attached. The specified name must match the name assigned to the repository.
- Make sure that the Network repository option is selected.
- Specify the IP address or the name of the computer hosting the Laserfiche Server in the Laserfiche Server option.
- Click OK. Laserfiche will open the repository. From this point forward, the repository will be listed from the Laserfiche Start Page.
