Search Index Files

Another component of a Laserfiche repository are search index files, which contain index information allowing searches to be performed in a Laserfiche repository. In addition to determining how to find your documents, search index files also contain index configuration information.

Search index files are stored on the same computer as your Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search Service, in a folder you specify during repository or catalog creation.  By default the search index files will be stored under the repository directory. The number of files in this folder may vary; this is expected, and the files should not be deleted or modified.
