Security and the Recycle Bin
Entries, pages and electronic files cannot be opened or modified in the recycle bin, but must be restored before users can work with them again. If the entry is a folder, its contents cannot be individually restored; the folder must be restored to access its contents. When an entry is restored, its security settings will also be restored, including any security settings it has inherited from its parent folder. When a page or electronic file is restored, it will become a part of the document it is restored to, and will be affected normally by that document's security settings.
All users can restore items they deleted themselves until those documents have been purged. To permanently purge items he or she has deleted, a user must have the Purge Entries privilege.
The Manage Entry Access privilege allows users to view items deleted by all users, and to restore any deleted document. If the user also has the Purge Entries privilege, it also allows them to purge any item, regardless of who deleted it. The recycle bin respects security tags: if a deleted entry is tagged, only a user with that tag can view, purge, or restore that item in the recycle bin.
