Group Watermarks

A group watermark allows an organization to keep track of why documents were printed or exported from a Laserfiche repository. It is able to do this by placing an administrator-defined term on every image printed or exported by a user in a particular group. Additionally, if the user belongs to a group with multiple watermarks and/or multiple groups with watermarks configured, the user can select which watermark to use when exporting or printing.

If watermarks have been assigned to a group to which a user belongs, the watermarks will be present on the image when that user prints or exports a document. Unlike the watermark content itself, watermark headers and footers will also be visible when that user opens the document in the document viewer.

Note:  Watermarks cannot be printed on electronic files, such as those associated with an electronic document. Electronic files are opened using a third-party application, which in turn determines how the content will be printed.
