Annotations
Tip: The Preview Annotation Text option displays a text preview of a sample annotation. Use this preview to ensure that the currently selected options will produce the desired result.
To imprint annotations by default:
- Do one of the following:
- To configure your default settings, open the Laserfiche Snapshot Printing Preferences dialog box.
- To configure the default settings for a new Snapshot user, open the Laserfiche Snapshot Printing Defaults dialog box.
- Click the Embed Annotation tab.
- Select the Embed annotation check box.
- Do one of the following:
- To specify a line of text, select the Text string check box, enter the desired text, and, if desired, in the Separator option, enter one or more characters that will follow the specified line of text.
- To use a date and/or time value as an annotation with no preceding text, clear the Text string check box.
- Do one of the following:
- To include a date value in the annotation, select the Date check box and select the format for the date value.
- To not include a date value in the annotation, clear the Date check box.
- Do one of the following:
- To include a time value in the annotation, select the Time check box. Also select if the time will be displayed in standard (12 hour) or military (24 hour) time and determine if minutes, seconds, and the time zone will be included along with the hour at which the document was printed.
- To not include a time value in the annotation, clear the Time check box.
- For Annotation mode, determine if the background for the annotation will be transparent or opaque. A transparent background allows the content behind the annotation to be visible; an opaque background ensures that the text in the annotation is clearly recognizable.
- Under Annotation position, determine where the annotation will be placed. In addition to determining the general position on the page where the annotation will be placed, you can also specify an offset value to fine-tune the annotation location and set the amount of rotation (in degrees) to be applied to the annotation.
- Under Annotation Color, specify the color that will be used for the text value in the annotation by entering the exact RGB value or browsing for a color by clicking Color Palette.
- To set text annotation font, click Font selection and select the desired font, style, and size. Click OK.
- Click OK to save your changes.
