- Full. This will perform a full backup of the data in the database. It is recommended that you perform a full backup at least once weekly.
- Differential. This will perform a backup only of data that has changed since the last full database backup. It is recommended that you perform a differential backup daily, or more often for very high-volume repositories.
- In the Backup component option, select Database.
- Choose the type of backup destination by selecting Disk or URL.
- Click the Add button and select the destination for the backup file.
- Optional: Navigate to the Backup Options page. Change the Name and Description of the backup if desired.
- On the Backup Options page, specify when the backup will expire:

- To configure the backup to expire on a specific date, click On and enter a date.
- Optional: To view or select advanced options about how media is overwritten or how the backup is verified, navigate to the Media Options page.
