Starting or Stopping the Laserfiche Server Service
The Laserfiche Server performs all of its activities through a Windows service called "Laserfiche Server." Like any other service, it can be stopped, started, or restarted. The current status of this service can play a role in determining the type of activities that can be performed. For example, when this service is started, users will be allowed to interact with the information stored in a Laserfiche repository. When it is stopped, Laserfiche repositories will not be available. However, when the proper steps have been taken, stopping and starting the service allows a database to be moved to another location.
