Laserfiche MS Office Plug-in
Microsoft Office can be configured with Laserfiche Repository for authentication.
Follow the steps below to set up SSO with Directory Server:
- Open a Microsoft Office application, such as, Microsoft Word.
- Click the Laserfiche tab.
- Click Save to Laserfiche.
- Option 1: If you have already configured your Laserfiche Repository, then you will be able to choose your sign in option in the Sign In dialog box:
- Windows authentication: Click this option to sign-in using your Windows credentials.
- Password authentication: Click this option and type the User name and Password in the related fields.
- Laserfiche Directory Server: If you have SSO configured for Directory Server, then use this option. The Directory Server URL will automatically populate.
- Option 2: If you have not configured your Laserfiche Repository, then follow the steps below:
- In the Attach Repository dialog box, under Repository type, choose Network repository.
- In the drop-down menu, select your Laserfiche Server.
- Under Repository name, using the drop-down menu, choose a Name.
- Optional: If your Laserfiche Server is configured to only allow a TLS connection, then you must check the Use TLS Connection check-box.
- Click OK.
- In the Sign In dialog box, click Laserfiche Directory Server and the Directory Server URL will automatically populate.
- Click OK.
- Option 1: If you have already configured your Laserfiche Repository, then you will be able to choose your sign in option in the Sign In dialog box:
- Now, you will see your organization's sign-in page. Depending on the authentication configuration, you will see related options. For Directory Server SSO, click SAML Authentication to be navigated to the SAML identity provider's sign in page. Now, you will be signed in to the Laserfiche Repository via your MS Office plug-in.
