Repository Offline Documents and Folders

The Laserfiche app lets you save copies of Laserfiche repository documents offline. This lets users view documents when they are not connected to cellular service or Wi-Fi.

Example: Chris is flying to Seattle for a business trip. He needs to make use of his travel time and review some case files while on the plane. While he has Wi-Fi in the airport, he selects the documents he needs to read and saves offline copies of them. When he gets on the plane, he can read through each case file without being connected to a cellular service or Wi-Fi.
Note: You will only be able to save offline copies of electronic documents (not Laserfiche imaged documents) if you are using a Laserfiche Mobile Server earlier than 9.2.1.
Note: Saving offline copies of Laserfiche repository documents does not remove them from your repository. These copies are read-only.

Passcode Protection

Copies of offline documents can be passcode protected. This ensures that sensitive documents will be secure in the case your device ends up in the wrong hands.

To passcode protect copies of offline documents

  1. Press the menu button Menu button at the top left or swipe right, and then press Settings in the bottom left corner of the menu.
  2. Press Turn passcode on.
  3. Enter a new passcode, then re-enter it to verify it.

    Enter a passcode.

  4. Press Change passcode to change your passcode.
Note: If your administrator requires copies of offline documents to be passcode protected, you will be prompted to set up a passcode the first time you try to save a copy of a document offline. If you change the passcode, all copies of offline documents will be removed from your local device.
