The Annotation Text search enables you to search for all documents that contain a sticky note, callout text box, text box, or comment with a particular word or phrase.
To search for text inside a text annotation
- In the Search Pane, click Select a search type and select Annotation Text from the menu. If it is not in the menu, click More... to open the Search Attributes dialog box to add it. You can also click More... next to Select a search type.
Note: By default, the Annotation Text search is in the Select a search type menu.
- Type the word or phrase you want to search for in the text box and select the checkboxes next to the specific items you want to search through (Sticky Note, Callout, Text Box, Comment).
- Click Search.
Tip: To open an annotation and the page it appears on, double-click the desired context hit. Context hits appear at the bottom of the Contents Pane.
