Versions Search

The Versions search enables users to search for versioned documents by version comments, by the user who created a version within the document, by the date a version was created, or by version label. The search results will return the entire document, and you can use the version history to locate the version you want.

To search for a version

  1. In the Search Pane, click Select a search type and select Versions from the menu. If it is not in the menu, click More... to open the Search Attributes dialog box to add it. You can also click More... next to Select a search type.

Note: By default, the Versions search is in the Select a search type menu.

  2. Do one or more of the following:

    • Select Has a comment containing and type a word or phrase from the comment for the version you want to locate.
    • Select Was created by and type or browse to the Laserfiche or domain user who created the version you want to locate.
    • Select Was created on the following date and select a date or date range for the version you want to locate.
    • Select Has the following label and type the label for the version you want to locate.
  3. Click Search.
