Embed Annotation Tab
The Embed Annotation tab, in the Laserfiche Snapshot Printing Preferences dialog box, allows annotation text to be added to images printed from a processed document. The annotation can contain user-defined text, the date, and the time. The position of the text, type, color, and size of the font used to print the annotation, and the format of the date and time, can also be specified.
- Embed annotation: Enables the printing of text annotations on images generated from a processed document.
- Text String: Specifies a user-definable string that will appear in the annotation
text.
- Separator: A character or text that will separate the annotation text from the date and the time.
- Font selection: The font used to print the annotation.
- Date: Adds the current date to the annotation.
- MM/DD/YYYY: Month/Day/Year (e.g., 01/17/2008)
- M/D/YY: Month/Day/Year (e.g., 1/17/08)
- DD/MM/YYYY (European): Day/Month/Year (e.g., 17/01/2008)
- DD-MON-YYYY: Day-Month-Year (e.g., 17-JAN-2008)
- YYYY/MM/DD: Year/Month/Day (e.g., 2008/01/17)
- Julian date: Displays the Julian date (e.g., 2454482)
- Time: Adds the current time to the annotation in one of the following formats: 12 hour (e.g., 5:00 PM) or 24 hour (e.g., 17:00). You can also select or clear checkboxes to display Minutes, Seconds, and Time zone.
- Annotation mode: Makes the annotation background transparent or opaque on the image.
- Preview annotation text: How the annotation will look based on the current settings.
- Annotation position: Where the annotation will be printed. The Top left, Top right, Center, Bottom left, and Bottom right fields set an origin point. X Offset (+/-) and Y Offset (+/-) specify the distance of the top left corner of the annotation from the origin point. Supported unit options are tenths of a mm, hundredths of an inch, and pixels.
Example: If the annotation’s origin point is set to Top left, the X Offset (+/-) is 100, the Y Offset (+/-) is 200, and the units are pixels, the annotation will be printed on the page at position 100 pixels horizontally, 200 pixels vertically.
- Rotation: Specifies the number of degrees the text will be rotated, which can be a positive or a negative value.
- Annotation color: Sets the color of the annotation text. Color palette sets the color to print annotations. Red, Green, and Blue set the respective components of color (integers from 0-255) assigned to the annotation text.
- Restore Defaults: Allows you to restore the default settings for all printer options.
