Cleaning Up Files with Laserfiche Snapshot

Image, text, and Snapshot-generated files are left in the temporary storage folder when a print job is not successfully performed, because they have not been imported into a Laserfiche repository. If you don't want to keep these files, delete them manually or through Laserfiche Snapshot.

Shared printer: Unfinished print jobs can be managed from the Unfinished Print Job Administration dialog box by clicking Review from the General tab on the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) dialog box.

Shared printer: When cleaning up files from the General tab of the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) dialog box, only temporary files located in the path specified by the Temporary storage folder option (on the General tab) will be deleted.

Local printer: When cleaning up files from the Advanced tab of the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Current User) dialog box, only temporary files located in the current Windows user's temporary folder will be deleted.

To remove unwanted print jobs

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Current User) dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
    • From the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) dialog box, click the General tab.
  2. Click Delete Files.
  3. When prompted, confirm that files will be deleted from the specified folder.
