Condition Type

In the condition editor, conditions are assigned through a series of nested menu options that start broad and become more specific. Select one of the Condition Type options (below) to specify the type of entry, folder, document, user, or repository the condition will concern. Point to the entry, folder, or document in the menu to see more options to help you specify the exact entries, folders, or documents the condition will concern.

The condition is satisfied when a user performs the action in Event Type on the entry, folder, document, or repository that matches the option you select or as the user who matches the one you select from the options described below.

Option Description
Entry Name The entry name matches the one specified in <empty>.
Field The entry field matches the one specified in <empty>.
Path The entry path matches the one specified in <empty>.
Template Name The entry template name matches the one specified in <empty>.
Parent Name The entry parent name matches the one specified in <empty>.
Type The entry type (document, folder, shortcut, document shortcut, folder shortcut, or record series) matches the one specified in Document.
Is Record The entry is or is not in a record series, depending on what you select in is true.
Tag The entry tags matches the one specified in <empty>.
Volume The entry in a volume matches the one specified in <empty>. A volume is a sub-location of a Laserfiche Server.
Parent ID The entry with the parent ID matches the one specified in <empty>.
ID The entry ID matches the one specified in <empty>.
Folder Document Count The document count in the folder matches the one specified in 0.
Folder Count The folder count matches the one specified in 0.
Entry Count The entry count matches the one specified in 0. Entries include documents, folders, shortcuts, document shortcuts, folder shortcuts, and record series.
Document Page Count The page count of a document matches the one specified in 0.
Extension The extension (like .txt, .ppt, .doc, etc.) of a document matches the one specified in <empty>.
Stamp Names The stamp name on a document matches the one specified in <empty>.
Is Under Version Control The document is either version controlled or not, depending on what you select in is true. A document is version controlled if a new document is created and saved every time you save the document. You should use this for important documents, where you want to keep track of the edits.
Annotation Text The annotation text on a document matches the one specified in <empty>.
Signed By The user who signed a document matches the one specified in <empty>.
Signed By (Group) The user who signed a document is a member of the group that matches the one specified in <empty>.
Signature Status The signature status of a document matches the one specified in is not signed.
Signing Reason The reason for signing a document matches the one specified in <empty>.
Signature Count The number of signatures on a document matches the number specified in 0.
User's Groups The user who performs the action in Event Type is a user who is in the same user group as the one specified in <empty>.
User The user who performs the action in Event Type matches the one specified in <empty>.
Entry Changes Refine the starting rules based on the types of changes applied to the document. Use Template Field Deleted in Template Field Set to catch when a field value is removed from the document, either by setting a field value in the template as blank or by removing an independent field.
Repository The repository matches the one specified in <empty>.
