Troubleshooting

If you encounter an issue or error in Laserfiche Forms, there are several areas you can look to identify the cause and potential solutions.

Windows Event Viewer

Laserfiche Forms error logs are visible from the Windows Event Viewer on the machine where the Forms server is installed. Under Applications and Service Logs, go to Laserfiche, Forms, and then Apps. You can use the following channels:

  • Admin: Log events that require administrator intervention.
  • Operational: Log events that are more expected during normal operation.
  • Debug: Log the most number of events to help with debugging. Note that this channel does not show by default. You can view the channel by selecting the App node and then select View Analytic and Debug Logs from the View menu. To enable the channel, right-click the channel and click Enable Log.

Using the Diagnostics Tab

The Diagnostics page in Laserfiche Forms allows you to select a log level, as well as enable or disable tracing, to help you troubleshoot a specific problem.
