Scanning
[Settings]ScanInsertBeforePage
Determines where in a document to insert scanned pages. Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Integers. 0 = Beginning of document, -1 = End of document, -2 = Ask user, -3 = Default.
Default value: -1
[HiddenDialogs]ScanInsertBeforePage
Specifies whether a dialog box pops up asking the user where to insert scanned pages in a document. Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Yes = Do not show dialog, No = Show dialog.
Default behavior: Dialog box appears.
[Settings]ScanMode
Determines whether scanning will be in basic or standard mode. Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Integers. 0 = Basic mode, 1 = Standard mode.
Default value: 0
[WebAccess]DefaultScanMode
The browser used to access the web client saves a cookie that stores the value of [Settings]ScanMode. When the user next starts a scanning session from the web client, the client will first check for this cookie. However, sometimes the same user may sign in from a different device and not be able to use that cookie. In that scenario, the web client uses the value of [WebAccess]DefaultScanMode to determine whether scanning will be in Basic or Standard mode.
Valid values:
- String. c = Standard mode. Remove this attribute to revert to Basic mode.
Default behavior: Basic mode
[Settings]ScanStartTimeout
Determines how long (in seconds) to wait for Laserfiche Scanning to start up before canceling the startup attempt. Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Integers
Default value: 20
[HIDDENDIALOGS]ConfirmScanMode
This is the same setting as Scan mode in Tools → Options → Reset → Prompts.
Valid values:
- Integers. Add this attribute and set it to 6 to disable the confirmation dialog box. Delete the attribute to enable the dialog box.
[Settings]AutonameDefDocName
Defines the default name that a first-time user of Laserfiche Scanning will see filled in for the document name.
Valid values:
- String
Default value: Untitled
[Scanning-WindowsUserName]CommandsCommandNumber
These attributes store custom keyboard shortcuts for the Windows user WindowsUserName in Laserfiche Scanning. Each shortcut is denoted by a different CommandNumber. To share keyboard shortcuts between users, export the values of these attributes, altering WindowsUserName as needed.
This attribute applies to the Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Integers. Set to 6 to hide dialog box. Delete attribute to show dialog box.
[Scanning-WindowsUserName]ScanEngine-ComputerName
Specifies the scanning source for the Windows user WindowsUserName on that specific computer. If the user wants to switch sources but Laserfiche Scanning defaults to a source that they do not want, you can delete this attribute to bring back the option to select a scanning source.
This attribute applies to the Windows client only.
Valid values:
- Integers. Set to 6 to hide dialog box. Delete attribute to show dialog box.
[BasicScanning-WindowsUserName]Property
These attributes store the settings of the user with the Windows username WindowsUserName and apply them to the next basic scanning session.
You can configure the basic scanning attributes for a test user and export them as the default for other users, altering WindowsUserName as needed.
