9004: File Input Output Error

Summary

When attempting to access files on a volume or running a Save to Repository service task on Laserfiche Forms, you may receive the following error:

File input/output error. [9004]

Causes

The Laserfiche server may be unable to access the volume if the volume paths are incorrect.

Resolutions

Use the Laserfiche Administration Console to verify that the volume paths are pointing to the correct locations on disk.

  1. Open the Laserfiche Administration Console.
  2. Open the repository in which you want to save.
  3. Under Volumes, select the appropriate volume.
  4. Verify that the volume path is correct.
