Monitoring Laserfiche Server Activity
Performance monitoring can be configured and viewed through the Performance console, a Windows console that provides the capability to view server performance in real-time and log server activity. This topic only provides basic instructions on how to monitor and log Laserfiche Server activity. For more detailed instructions, see the online documentation provided with the Performance console, which is also a good source for best practices on how to ensure accurate logging and how to manage logged data.
The Performance console keeps track of the information specified by a counter, which can be any type of information reported by the server. An example of a counter for a Laserfiche Server is "Read-write licenses in use," which tracks the full-featured licenses being used by the Laserfiche Server at any given time. Counters are organized into categories called performance objects, and the Laserfiche Server uses four types: Laserfiche Server, Laserfiche Repositories, Laserfiche Full Text Search Catalog, and Laserfiche Full Text Search Server.
