Troubleshooting Unfinished Snapshot Print Jobs

Users that print to the network version of the Snapshot printer are not informed if an error occurs with their print job. An error in the print job may mean that images and text were generated, but were not imported into a Laserfiche repository. If so, the images and text are stored in the temporary storage location on the computer where Laserfiche Snapshot was installed, and administrators can review and administer these files.

Laserfiche Snapshot provides the means through which you can view, import, troubleshoot, and delete print jobs that were not successfully imported into Laserfiche. If unfinished print jobs are detected when the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) dialog box is opened, a message will appear prompting you to review them. If you don't view them at that time, you can view them later by clicking Review on the General tab.

The Unfinished Print Job Administration dialog box lists all print jobs that have not been successfully completed, as well as a brief description of the error that occurred, the computer from which the print job originated, and the time at which the print job took place.

Note: Only the first error that occurred will be reported in the Unfinished Print Job Administration dialog box. However, you can view any subsequent errors by correcting the conditions that caused the error and trying again to import the document into Laserfiche.
