New Features in Laserfiche Cloud 2020.3

The Laserfiche Cloud 2020.3 update, released on July 10, 2020, features additional integration options for Process Automation.

Watch an overview of the new features here:

Process Automation

Workflow

The Invoke Business Process activity in Workflow allows a workflow to both start a business process and pass values to the process. For a workflow to be able to start a business process, the process must have the “Allow this business process to be started by other processes” option selected in the process details. The type of start event in the process does not matter. Ensure the process has been published. In Workflow, the process can be started using the Invoke Business Process activity. Place the activity on the workflow canvas and select the process from the Business Process dropdown. Assign values or tokens to the input values workflow will send to the process.

Laserfiche Bots

Laserfiche Bots now allows you to set bots’ runtime priority if your bot remote agent has the ability to add multiple queues. Higher priority bots will be run first, then normal priority bots, and finally low priority bots. Priority can be set from the manage page, the Invoke Bot activity in workflow, and starting events that run bots. Additionally, the monitor page has been updated with an improved search results pane and the ability to sort by column.

If your license allows for multiple queues and workers (i.e., "Workflow bots"), you can now optimize the Dedicated Bot Remote Agent workers and queues by labeling them with specific capabilities. Capabilities allow you to pair specific bots to specific workers and queues. For example, you could allocate specific workers and queues to each department in your organization. Capabilities are configured on the in the remote agent. Then, from the , you can select matching capabilities to ensure that your bot is placed in an appropriate queue and run by an appropriate worker.

SAML SSO Support

Laserfiche Cloud now has expanded single sign-on support for SAML 2.0 identity providers. The most common third-party identity providers are:

Documents

Dynamic Fields are fields where one field value determines what values are available in other fields in the same template. Use process automation lookup tables as a data source and associate columns in the lookup table with fields in a template. You can then specify which fields depend on values in other fields.
