User License Types

A Laserfiche Cloud subscription supports the following types of users that control what Laserfiche Cloud services are available to those users.

Full User

Full users can access all services in Laserfiche Cloud.

Note: This license type should be utilized for most users within your organization.

Participant User

The Participant user type is for individuals inside your organization that need to view documents in your Laserfiche repository and participate in Forms processes. To facilitate that, participant users can sign in through Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS).

Note: This license type should only be used for internal users within your organization.

Community User

The Community user type is for individuals outside your organization that need to view documents in your Laserfiche repository and participate in Forms processes. For example, you may assign a community user type to non-employees, contractors, or customers that need access to view your repository or perform tasks in a Forms process.

The following tables summarize the differences between what is available to Full users and Community users.

Note: Access to process automation features, including Forms, is dependent on subscription plan types that include process automation.
