Page Breaks, Tabs or Progress Bars

Page breaks split a form into multiple pages or tabs. Each field placed in a page is part of that page. Pagination style options include displaying pages as:

Additional options include whether to display a previous and next button at the bottom of the form to navigate between pages.

The message start event submit button and user task action buttons are shown on the final page.

When a form is read-only, all pages are shown as in a single page format.

To edit a single page

  1. Select the page break on the canvas and click Edit.
  2. Edit the page name, previous button label, and next button label for that page.

Note: The header for a page break in a form is an h2 header, not an h1 header. Only the header of the form can be an h1 header.

To edit overall pagination settings

  1. Click on the form title in the form designer.
  2. Under Pagination, click the checkbox to Enable pagination.

Click Show submission actions on every page to show items such as payment, ReCaptcha, action buttons, and/or the comment box.

Click Enforce validation on page progression to ensure all fields are properly filled before moving on to the next page.

Click Add page breaks to saved forms to generate page breaks in the form when saving to PDF.
  3. Under Pagination style, configure how to display pages. Navigation tabs and Navigation dropdown allow you to jump between pages by selecting the appropriate tab or drop-down menu option. If you select None or Progress bar, the only way to navigate between pages will be by using the Previous and Next buttons.
  4. Optional: If you had selected Navigation tabs or Navigation dropdown, you can also choose to clear the Include previous/next buttons option if you do not want users to navigate between pages using the previous/next buttons.
  5. Under Pages, you can edit the page names for all your pages, the labels on the previous/next buttons for each page, and the order in which the pages appear. To change page order, drag and drop a row using the symbol to the left of the page name. If you move a page, all fields belonging to that page will be moved with it.
