Invoke Bot
This activity makes use of robotic process automation technology to start a bot. This activity can receive values from bots run on remote agents and pass values back to the bots. Learn more about bots.
To set up this activity:
- Drag the activity from the toolbox pane and drop it in the Designer pane.
- In the properties pane, type a name and description of the activity.
- In the Bot property box, select the bot you want the workflow to run.
- Click Open bot to view the selected bot.
- Under Inputs is a list of the values the bot expects as input parameters. Specify tokens and values to send to the bot.
- Under Output Tokens are the tokens and values the bot sends to a workflow. Use token tags to help place tokens on appropriate token menus in a workflow, as well as ensure your tokens are evaluated correctly in conditions.
- Under Priority, if you have multiple bot queues, you can set the bot's priority. Unless you choose to use the bot's settings, the priority set here will override the priority set on the bot.
- High priority bots will be run first.
- Normal priority bots run after high priority bots have been run.
- Low priority bots run after high and low priority bots have been run.
- Use bot settings follows the setting configured on the bot definition from the bot Manage page.
You may want to disable activities if you only want to test specific sections of your workflow. To disable activities:
- Select an activity in the designer pane to highlight it.
- In the Description property box, clear Enable.
