Laserfiche Mobile
Laserfiche Mobile is an app (Android and Apple) that enables you to capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents inside Laserfiche while on the go.
You can browse for documents in a folder structure; search all your content; create, copy, move, rename, download, print, and delete documents; modify document fields; and view annotations; Additionally, you can add documents to Laserfiche from other apps, the mobile device's gallery, or its camera.
Accessing Laserfiche Using Mobile
After downloading and installing Laserfiche Mobile from the iTunes App Store or Google Play, tap the application to open it.
On the Laserfiche Mobile start page, tap
- Sign in to sign in
- Test drive the app to sign in with your temporary or support site account to test out the app
- New to Laserfiche? to sign up for a temporary account to test the app.
If your organization does not yet have Laserfiche Mobile, the temporary account lets you explore the app's features with sample documents. Each user with a temporary account can add and edit their own documents, but they cannot see or access documents from other users.
Sign in
- Open the Laserfiche Mobile app.
- Tap Sign in.
- On the Sign-In page, enter the following
- Server URL: Enter your Laserfiche Cloud 9-digit account ID (provided by your administrator).
- User name: Enter your user name.
- Password: Enter your password.
- Tap Sign in.
Test Drive
You can test drive this app by signing in with a temporary account or with your Laserfiche Support Site email and password. Once signed in, you will have access to a "sandbox" where you can add documents and folders, edit fields (sample templates and fields are included), explore libraries, and more. However, other people cannot add to or see this content. Additionally, the documents and folders we provide and you add are not secure and can be accessed by Laserfiche employees.
Note: If a temporary account is used improperly, it will be blocked.
Sign in with a temporary account or Laserfiche Support Site account
- Tap Test drive the app.
- Enter the email address associated with your temporary account or Laserfiche Support Site account.
- Enter your password. If you can't remember your password, tap the Forgot your password? link. You will be prompted to enter your email address. Tap Submit and Laserfiche will send you a link to create a new password.
- Remember me: Select this checkbox if you want the app to remember your password. Additionally, if you select this option and the app closes unexpectedly, your password will also be remembered. Your password will be cleared if you sign out of the app normally.
Create a temporary account
- Tap the New to Laserfiche? link.
- In the Email and Password fields, provide your email address and a password. This information will become your temporary account sign-in credentials.
- In the corresponding fields, provide your first name, last name, phone number, organization, country, and state (if applicable).
- Tap Register.
- Laserfiche will send an email to the email address you specified for the temporary account. Click the link in the email to activate your account.
- Sign in to the app with your newly created account to test drive it.
Navigating Laserfiche Mobile
Folder Browser
Once signed in, you will be inside the Folder Browser. Tap the folders to navigate your repository. Tap the back button to go back a folder. If you navigate away from your folders, you can swipe right and tap All Files in the main menu to navigate back to your folder structure. You can create new documents and folders using the Add button in the top right.
Search
If using an Apple device, pull down to display a search box. If using an Android device, tap the magnifying glass in the top right to perform a search.
Document Viewer
Once you have located the desired document, tap it to open it. Tap the More button in the top right to access additional actions you can perform on the document. For example, you can view the document's text, email a link to the document, add the document to a library, view the document's properties, etc. Tap the Metadata button to modify the document's fields and/or templates. Tap the Annotations button to view the document's annotations. Tap the Close button to close the document.
