Enabling Audit Reporting from the Windows or Web Client

If your Laserfiche site includes Audit Trail, you can configure Laserfiche to open an audit report for a specific entry directly within the Laserfiche Windows or web client. When a user selects a document, they can open an audit report directly from that document. They will then be able to configure which information they want to see in the audit report, just as they would with any other audit report. This makes it easy to quickly see pertinent audit information about specific entries. For information about running audit reports on specific entries, see Running an Audit Report from the Windows or Web Client in the Laserfiche User Guide.

Administrators must configure the Windows or web client to allow these reports to be run. This configuration can be done in either the desktop Administration console or the web client's configuration page and will enable audit reporting in both the Windows and web clients. In addition, Audit Trail Reporting must be installed and configured; see Laserfiche Audit Trail Reporting for more information.

Only users with sufficient permissions to access Audit Trail Reporting will be able to run these reports. See Audit Trail Permissions for more information.
