Importing Images

You can import image files into your Laserfiche repository. In most case, imported images will be saved as part of an imaged document, and once they have been imported they can be viewed in the document viewer. (See Importing Documents for complete instructions for importing any kind of document.)

Laserfiche can store and open any type of image, but to view an image in the document viewer, it needs to be converted to TIFF image pages when it's imported. The following types of image file formats can be imported as image pages:

In addition to these types of files, you can specify other image file formats to be viewable in the document viewer. For more information, see Determining How Files are Stored and Viewed.

The default name for documents created by importing images depends on whether you are creating single or multiple page documents.
