To manually resize a column
Column headers can be manually resized by dragging the divider that appears between two columns. The width of the column to the left of the cursor will be adjusted as you drag the divider. As you adjust a column's width, the columns to the right of the cursor will move to compensate for the amount of space gained or lost by resizing the column.
- From the Details View, hover the cursor over the divider to the right of the column header whose width you want to adjust. The cursor's appearance will change to
. - Drag the divider until the column has reached the desired size. The column to the left of the cursor will be resized; the columns to the right will move to compensate for the change.
To automatically resize a column
- From the Details view, hover over the divider to the right of the column header whose width you want to adjust. The cursor's appearance will change to .
- Double-click the divider, and the column's width will be automatically adjusted to fit its contents.
To rearrange columns
A column’s position can be changed by dragging it from its current location to a new one. An insertion point will indicate where the column will be placed.
