Advanced search syntax can be used to search for permanent records or non-permanent records. (In a repository with the Transfer or Accession to NARA option enabled, this search will instead locate records depending on whether they are set for transfer or accession to NARA.) You can also search for permanent or NARA records through the Search Pane.

- {LFRM:PermanentRecord="N"}
The PermanentRecord parameter specifies whether search results will contain permanent records or non-permanent records. This also applies to NARA or non-NARA records.
Note: If your repository is configured to accession or transfer to NARA, using the PermanentRecord parameter will return NARA or non-NARA records.
