Business Process Search
In the Search Pane, you can search for entries associated with a business process by searching for the business process's name, status, and start or completed date.
You can also search for business processes using advanced search syntax.
Example: You can search for entries that were processed by the "Travel Request" business process in the last week and still have the status "Under review by HR."
To search by business process
In the Laserfiche Windows client
- In the Search Pane, click Customize Search and select Business Process from the drop-down.
- Select one or more of the following search types:
- Business Process Name: Select to search for entries associated with a specific business process.
- Select one or more business processes from the list. To select multiple business processes, hold down CTRL while clicking the business process names.
- If you selected multiple business processes, you can find entries associated with at least one of the business processes you selected by choosing at least one from the drop-down menu. You can find entries associated with all the business processes you selected by choosing all from the drop-down menu.
- Business Process Status: Select to search for entries associated with a business process that has a specific status.
- Use the drop-down menu to specify if the status you are searching for contains, begins with, ends with, or is exactly the phrase you type below.
- Type the status or part of the status you want to search for.
- Business Process Date: Select to search for entries associated with business processes that started or completed in a specific time frame.
- Use the top drop-down menu to search for entries associated with business processes that have started or completed, just started, or just completed in the time frame you specify below.
- Select a search time frame from the next drop-down menu.
Tip: Press the spacebar to input the current date and time for the Exactly, Before, or After options.
- Click Search.
In the Laserfiche web client
- In the Search Pane, click Select a search type and select Business Process.
- In the Business Process search option, select one or more of the search types you want to run.
- Business Process Name: Select to search for entries associated with a specific business process.
- Select one or more business processes from the list. To select multiple business processes, hold down CTRL while clicking the business process names.
- If you selected multiple business processes, you can find entries associated with at least one of the business processes you selected by choosing at least one from the drop-down menu. You can find entries associated with all the business processes you selected by choosing all from the drop-down menu.
- Business Process Status: Select to search for entries associated with a business process that has a specific status.
- Use the drop-down menu to specify if the status you are searching for is exactly, contains, begins with, or ends with the phrase you type below.
