Digital Signatures Search
From the Search Pane, you can search for documents that have been digitally signed. This search type lets you search for documents that have or have not been signed (at all or by particular users), or have been signed on particular dates. You can also search based on signing relationships.
Note: Digital signatures are only present in repositories that are licensed for them. If the digital signature search type is not available, your repository is not licensed to use digital signatures.
To search for a digital signature
- In the Search Pane, click Customize Search and select Digital Signatures.
- Do one or more of the following:
- Select Find documents that have been signed by. Either select these users and type or browse to the certificate subject whose signature you want to search for, or select anyone to locate all signed documents.
- Select Find documents that have not been signed by. Either select these users and type or browse to the certificate subject whose signature will not be on documents in the search results, or select anyone to locate all unsigned documents.
- Select Find documents signed on the following date and select a date or date range for the digital signature you want to locate. See Search Time Frames for more information on the date options.
- Select Find a document with a signing reason containing and type the reason for the digital signature you want to locate.
- Click Search
Note: If you choose to browse to locate a certificate subject, you will be able to select from the list of certificate subjects for all certificates stored in the Laserfiche Digital Signature Certificate Store using the Choose Certificate User dialog box. If more than one certificate has the same certificate subject, that subject will only be listed once, and searching will return all signatures for that subject. If a certificate is not stored in the Certificate Store, its certificate subject will not appear in the list.
