You can search for documents, in the Search Pane, that have been assigned tags by specifying one or more informational or security tags. You can choose to find only documents with all specified tags or with one or more of them.
You can also search for tagged documents by searching for words or phrases in tag comments. Tag comment searches can be customized with advanced search wildcards.
Note: When searching by tag comments, a match will be found if the word or phrase occurs anywhere in the comment. For example, searching for "signed" will return comments with "assigned."
Note: When searching for either assigned tags and tag comments, the searched for word or phrase does not need to occur on all of the selected tags. The specified word or phrase only needs to occur in at least one of the entry's tag comments.
To search by tags
- In the Search Pane, click Customize Search and select Tags.
- Select one or more tags from the list. To select multiple tags, hold down CTRL while clicking the tag names.
- If you selected multiple tags, do one of the following:
- To find documents assigned one or more selected tags, select at least one from the Find entries with — of the following selected tags option.
- To find documents assigned all selected tags, select the all from the Find entries with — of the following selected tags option.
- To search by tag comments, select the Find entries with tag comments containing checkbox and enter desired word or phrase.
- Click Search.
