Searching by Versions
You can search for versioned documents, in the Search Pane, by version comments, by the user who created a version within the document, by the date a version was created, or by version label. The search results will return the entire document, and you can use the version history to locate the version you want.
To search for a version
In the Laserfiche Windows client
- In the Search Pane, click Customize Search and select Versions.
- Do one or more of the following:
- Select Has a comment containing and type a word or phrase from the comment for the version you want to locate.
- Select Was created by and type or browse to the Laserfiche or domain user who created the version you want to locate.
- Select Was created on the following date and select a date or date range for the version you want to locate. See Search Time Frames for more information on the date options.
- Select Has the following label and type the label for the version you want to locate.
- Click Search.
