Undoing Actions

Most actions performed in the Laserfiche folder browser can be undone. For example, if you have moved, renamed, or cut or copied and pasted a document, you can undo to reverse that action. If the recycle bin is enabled, you can undo deleting a document, page or electronic file. You can also undo multiple times to revert several changes in a row. Actions will be undone in the reverse order they were done: the most recent action will be undone first, then the action that immediately preceded it, and so on.

To undo an action

In the Laserfiche Windows client

  1. In the folder browser, open the Edit menu and select Undo, or press CTRL+Z. This will undo the most recent action.
  2. Repeat to undo more than one action.

Note: Certain actions cannot be undone. If an entry has been permanently deleted--for instance, if the recycle bin is not enabled--deletion cannot be undone. Changes made to the contents of a document, such as adding annotations to a page, modifying a document's fields, or moving pages from one document to another, cannot be undone. Actions performed on the volume, such as creating or importing new documents, or migrating documents from one volume to another, also cannot be undone.
