Generate Pages from Electronic Documents
You can generate image and text pages from the electronic files associated with electronic documents in one of two ways: PDF electronic documents can have image pages generated natively from the PDF file (this method can retain PDF annotations) or you can generate pages from any type of document (including, but not limited to, PDF files) by processing them with Laserfiche Snapshot.
To create an image and text pages from an electronic file in the Repository Web Client
- From the folder browser, select one or more electronic documents for which you want to create image and text.
- Select the More Actions button and point to Advanced. Select Generate Pages.
To create an image and text pages from an electronic file in the Repository Desktop Client
- From the folder browser, select one or more electronic documents for which you want to create image and text.
- From the Tasks drop-down menu, select Generate Pages.
- In the Generate Pages dialog box, you can configure options for page generation and indexing.
- Under Page Generation, click Options to open the Generate Pages node of the User Options dialog box. From here, you can configure settings for generating pages for PDFs and other electronic documents.
- Under Indexing, select the checkbox to index the text Laserfiche Snapshot generates.
- After configuring your desired settings, click OK to generate image and text pages.
