Setting Privileges for Trustees

Privileges are special permissions that grant the ability to perform administrative activities. Here a few examples of the type of actions that privileges allow you to perform:

Grant privileges to specific users so that they can perform specific administrative tasks. You should only grant a privilege to a user who requires that privilege in order to perform necessary maintenance functions. You can grant privileges in two ways:

Note: These settings only apply to a fresh repository with no contents. Existing repositories and migrated repositories will retain their original security. Because Folder Filter Expressions were not available in Laserfiche 7, the Bypass Filter Expression privilege will be granted to the Everyone group on migrated repositories, as it confers certain performance advantages.
