Opening Multiple Windows

You can open multiple windows while working with Laserfiche.

Opening Multiple Folder Browser Windows

Having multiple Folder Browsers open at once may be useful when you need to view multiple folders at once, or if you would like to move or copy documents and/or folders.

To open a new folder browser

  • From the File menu, select New Browser Window. The folder browser will open and display the contents of the root folder of the Laserfiche repository.
  • Open the web client again from the Windows Start Menu. Or copy the URL and paste it into a new internet browser window.

Opening Multiple Search Windows

Opening multiple search windows allows you to perform more than one search without losing results of previous searches.

To open a new search window

  1. From the File menu, click New Browser Window or press CTRL + SHIFT + B
  2. Open the Search Pane by clicking Search Pane from the toolbar.
  1. In the Search Pane, perform the search that you want to open in a new window.
  2. Copy the URL and paste it into a new internet browser window. You may be asked to reauthenticate your log in.

Opening Multiple Document Viewers

When you open a document, a new document viewer will appear, allowing you to view multiple documents without having to close a previously opened document.

To open a new document viewer

  1. Find the document you would like to view.
  2. Open the document by performing one of the following:
