Exporting Images
You can choose the format for an exported image, the name assigned to it, and the type of annotations included with it. Images can be exported from both imaged documents and from electronic documents that also have image pages.
You can choose to export multiple documents at one time. In the Laserfiche Windows client, these documents will be exported as separate files. In the Laserfiche web client will automatically group all the selected documents in a zip file.
To export images from the Windows client
- Do one of the following:
- Click Export on the toolbar.
- From the File menu, point to Export, and click Images.
- Drag the image out of Laserfiche and drop it on your local machine.
- Under Save in, select the Windows folder where exported images will be saved.
- Under File name, enter the name of the file to be created.
- In the Save as type option, choose a file format in which to export your image(s).
- Under Page range, specify the pages to be exported. When listing multiple pages or page ranges, separate them with commas (e.g., 1, 4-6, 9).

- To open exported images immediately after they are exported, select the Open exported file(s) immediately checkbox.
- Click Save to export your images.
Note: When exporting as a PDF, Laserfiche annotations can be converted into PDF annotations by selecting Convert annotations into PDF annotations from the Export Options: Images dialog box.
Optional: To include search hits, redactions, and other annotations, click Options and select the appropriate checkboxes under Annotations. Click OK.
Note: You may be prompted to provide a reason for exporting. See Reasons for Deletion, Export, and Printing for more information.
