Exporting Text
Text associated with a page in a document can be exported as a single text file or multiple text files, with or without redactions.
Note: Text export options can be configured in Options: Export: Text in the Laserfiche Windows client, or Settings: Export: Text in the Laserfiche web client.
To export text from the Windows client
- From the File menu, point to Export, and select Text.
- Under Save in, select the drive and folder where exported text files will be saved.
- Under Page range, specify the pages to be exported. Pages can be specified in any combination of individual pages and page ranges. Multiple pages and/or page ranges should be separated by commas. For example, to export pages 1, 3, and 5 through 12, set this option to: 1, 3, 5-12.
- To open exported images immediately after they are exported, select the Open exported file(s) immediately checkbox.
- Click Save to export your text.
Optional: Under File name, specify the name to be assigned to your exported text file(s). If you are not exporting text as a single file, page numbers will be appended to this name.
Note: You may be prompted to provide a reason for exporting. See Reasons for Deletion, Export, and Printing for more information.
