Tokens

A token is a placeholder for a value to be inserted. Laserfiche can take advantage of tokens in a variety of ways, such as adding values to metadata fields and certain annotations, naming new documents, and creating dynamic paths.

All tokens are in the format: %(Token). Depending on the Laserfiche Windows client application being used, available tokens may vary.

Note: Many Laserfiche products -- such as Workflow, Quick Fields, and Import Agent -- also use tokens. For information specific to one of these products, see that product's help files. Note that token names and syntax may vary.

Note: The token format for previous versions of Laserfiche, $token$, will continue to be supported for legacy processes, but it is strongly encouraged that you use of the new, %(Token), format.

You can also use special, email-specific tokens when using Outlook Import; see New Document Options: Outlook for more information.

Token represents the type of token being used. For instance, the date token is represented as: %(Date).
