Quick Fields Scanning
Note: The Spring release of Laserfiche 12 includes Quick Fields and Quick Fields Agent, but does not include Quick Fields Server or Quick Fields Scanning. Quick Fields Scanning 11 and earlier cannot be installed on the same machine as Quick Fields 12. If you plan to continue using Quick Fields Scanning, you will need to install it on a separate machine than Quick Fields 12 or remain on Quick Fields 11. While Quick Fields Scanning and Quick Fields Server are currently compatible with Quick Fields 12, both components are now deprecated. For more information on deprecation, see KB article 1014581 and the FAQ in the initial deprecation policy announcement.
Quick Fields Scanning is a desktop application specifically designed for scanner operators to facilitate scanning without needing to build or configure sessions. As sessions are built by administrators in Quick Fields and published to the Quick Fields Server, scanner operators with appropriate rights can access and run each session using Quick Fields Scanning. Any changes made to a session in Quick Fields and published to the Quick Fields Server are automatically available to scanner operators, ensuring everyone is working with the latest version of each session. Documents can be scanned from a variety of sources, including a physical scanner, computer or network drive, or from a Laserfiche repository. Once scanned, the documents can be easily identified, modified, and stored to a Laserfiche repository.
To open Quick Fields Scanning
From the Windows Start menu, select Laserfiche, Quick Fields, then Quick Fields Scanning. You can also double-click the Quick Fields Scanning desktop icon (if one exists).
