Invoke Workflow

This activity starts a workflow from a Workflow Server.

How does this activity look in the Designer Pane?

To add this activity to a workflow definition

• Drag it from the Toolbox Pane and drop it in the Designer Pane.

To configure this activity

• Select the activity in the Designer Pane to configure the following property boxes.
• Activity Name
• Activity Description
• Workflow
• Wait for Invoked Workflow
• Starting Entry
• Advanced Properties

  Click the Advanced button at the top of the Properties Pane to view and configure these properties.

• Workflow Server: This property box lets you configure which Workflow Server the invoked workflow will run on.
• Starting Entry Options: This property box offers an advanced option that allows you to choose if the starting entry will be refreshed when the invoked workflow starts to run.

Note: If you have more than one connection profile for your workflow definition, this property box lets you specify which connection profile this activity will use.

Note: You can configure the default settings for the Invoke Workflow activity in the Activity Performance tab of the Advanced Server Options.

Note: In order to help prevent runaway workflows, more than 32 Invoke Workflow activities cannot be strung together.
